We regret to advise that due to the HM Government advice issued on tackling Corona Virus 19, we have had to cancel our meeting on the 26th March in the Gorgie Suite.

It is with regret and a lot of sadness that we came to this decision but I am sure you will understand and support that the health and welfare of our members and guests is far more important than anything else.

A good number of you have already applied and paid for the dinner. We will not present the cheques received and we will refund all payments made direct to our bank account. Please be patient this as one of the co signatories on the account is currently abroad and not due to return until the middle of next week.

At this stage it looks very unlikely that we will be able to go ahead with our meeting on 30th April but we will keep you advised. It would be more realistic to hope that we can return to normal with our meeting on August 27th when our guest is Jim Jefferies. Again, we will keep you informed

We are going through another difficult time when it is absolutely vital that we support and get behind our team. Your committee hope that we can get back to supporting our Club, our excellent monthly meetings, and our fund raising activities as soon as it is safe to do so..

Thank you to all who have paid their 2020 subs. To those who have not yet paid, please pay now!! Details re on the Calling Notice.

Best wishes to all and please take care of yourselves and one another.

Kind Regards,

The HMSA Committe

Speakers

Your Committee endeavours to invite a variety of informative and entertaining speakers to our monthly Dinners. Over the years we have been very lucky to attract excellent guest speakers, both from Tynecastle and the football world beyond, to our meetings.  If you have any suggestions for future speakers or know someone who you think would be an interesting speaker please let us know and perhaps we can invite them along.

Donations

The Association has made a number of donations this year.

Our sponsored players this year are Steven Naismith, Loic Damour and Aaron Hickey.

We have donated  £9000 to the Hearts Stadium Redvelopment fund.

£1000 has been donated to help fund the new bronze statue of the Memorial Clock, which can been seen in the Hearts museum. We have also donated £487 to purchase photographic equipment for the Museum to help with digitalizing Club records held within the Museum.

Again this is down to the generosity of our members.

Our income from this source continues to help us support the Club.   Thanks to those who purchase tickets and especially those who donate raffle prizes.  It is much appreciated.

New Members

Since the issue of Share Certificates for the Share Issue in 2012 we have received a number of new members and the Committee would like to take this opportunity to welcome them to the Association and hope to see them at our monthly meetings.
